Jelly beans, sugary eggs and chocolate bunnies
It is crazy how early stores put out candy and other holiday related items! For more than a month, they tempt us with their chocolate, marshmallow, jelly beans and just about any type of candy you can dream of. It’s all there for the taking, and all you have to do is give them a few little pieces of paper. Easter is certainly one of the main candy holidays, and it is really tough to pass it by, not giving in to the cravings and promises of heavenly delight. However, it can be done! We haven’t bought a single bit of Easter candy this year, not even to give as gifts.
Consider giving non-food gifts to your friends and family this year. There are many things that will be happily received that aren’t unhealthy. For instance, I don’t know many young kids that don’t like cute little note pads, personalized books, cd’s and other personalized items that are always fun to give! Books, magazines, keychains with cute little sayings or pictures on them, clothing, accessories, or even something that costs nothing at all, like love coupons. Write your own coupons, good for little services of a back massage, movie and dinner night, or for kids, coupons they can trade a coupon in exchange for getting out of a daily chore, having friends stay the night, their favorite meal cooked in their honor, doing an activity with them that they really enjoy…there are endless possibilities!
This doesn’t mean that you can’t have sugary treats, but I encourage you to try to limit this to just a small amount. Instead of a candy hunt for the kids, why not try games or craft projects that the entire family can participate in?
We are going to be at my parents house with most of my siblings and their families. It will be a good time! I love to watch the little ones, as they can do and say things that are so silly! Laughter is a wonderful thing, and they sure do give us that gift!
I wish everyone a wonderful weekend, and a Happy Easter!

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
I think this is a great post. There’s defiantly a lot of great health tips here I’m going to try to be more aware of.
