Metformin…Diabetes Medication Prevents Breast Cancer!
Diabetes Care, a published journal about Diabetes, has reported that a new study shows that women that take Metformin, one of the main medications for Type 2 Diabetes, has a 56% less chance of getting breast cancer than other female diabetics that take other types of medication.

Metformin is used to regulate the amount of insulin in the bloodstream. It is a very common medication, and my husband, my daughter and myself all take it for our Type 2 Diabetes.
Since I am a cancer survivor, I am very happy to hear that this medication could help prevent me from getting breast cancer!
On another note…we allowed ourselves a very rare treat, and had a hamburger and french fries today. It was absolutely sinfully delicious, and I felt that we deserved it. We are always very careful, but every once in awhile that craving becomes just too much to handle! We only do this perhaps half a dozen times per year, most times are on holidays with the family, and our bodies handle it very well. I believe this is the case only because we are so careful all the rest of the time. We will be checking our blood glucose to make sure we do ok with this. Might have to do some extra exercising!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
